University of Hawaii at Manoa Facilities

The Hawaii Corrosion Laboratory is located in the Pacific Ocean Science and Technology (POST) Building and Holmes Hall on the University of Hawaii Manoa Campus.

The laboratory consists of two materials preparation rooms, an optics and microscopy room and a corrosion experiment room amongst other offices and work areas.

The equipment in the materials preparation rooms include:

  • convection oven
  • drills
  • hydraulic press
  • grinding and polishing wheels
  • low speed saws
  • sputtering machine
  • ultrasonic cleaners
